2020-2021 Athletic Orthopedic and Reconstructive Center Foot and Ankle Fellowship

Damian Hilbert, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Walimire is pleased to announce the formation of the Athletic Orthopedic and Reconstructive Center Foot and Ankle Fellowship program. This is a one year surgical fellowship in which the fellow learns the advanced techniques and procedures implemented in Dr. Walimire’s practice. These techniques take many years to perfect and Dr. Walimire has the desire to pass on this knowledge to the next generation of surgeons. He also works to prepare the fellow for private practice by teaching practice management techniques and ethical billing practices.

Dr. Damian Hilbert is the current 2020-2021 Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellow at the Athletic Orthopedic and Reconstructive Center. He is originally from Chilton, Wisconsin and attended University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for his undergraduate degree in Biology, followed by Kent State University for his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Hilbert completed a 3-year podiatric surgical residency with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Wayne, Michigan. Dr. Hilbert’s special surgical interests include flatfoot reconstruction and total ankle replacement. He is looking forward to gaining arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques to his surgical acumen under the mentorship of Dr. Walimire. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, rooting for the Packers and Bucks, and spending time outdoors with his wife Dr. Victoria Fratczak, who is also a foot and ankle surgeon, and Boston terrier, Alvin.
